Meet the Dogs
Our world is full of so many beautiful animals so desperately in need of help – those few whom we can do something for fill our hearts with so much joy, and their unconditional love is such a blessing.
Here are our dogs... Those in sanctuary here with us.
They are a source of much fun and happiness, but also sometimes hard work and frustration too. But when we see them coming out of their shells, and starting to trust, start to enjoy playing, when we see them smile – it all seems such a great pleasure and privilege to be here for them and to be able to help them.
Incidentally, just for fun, we give all our dogs lots of pet names, including names of popular children’s games that seem to capture the personality and spirit of the dog, a 'Name of Fame', as we call it, taken from a top actor or actress from the 'Golden Age of Film', ‘titles’ of royalty and nobility, ‘classical names’, based on stylised Hellenistic, or Ancient Egyptian names, that match their personalities, and so on, it's all very silly and totally pointless but hey it's fun!
Spritie - The Alpha Female
Spritie is a former street dog from Eastern Europe. She's a Romanian shepherd cross.
She came to us as a very timid and insecure girl, suffering from a severe lack of confidence. She was also suffering badly due to a trypsin deficiency. It took us some time to figure out exactly what was going on, but once that happened we put her on a special diet...
Wolfy - The Alpha Male
Wolfy was an Eastern European street dog. He's possibly a husky cross, or more likely an Akita cross due to his 'grouchy and somewhat moody' temperament, although half the time it's all just for show.
But, he is skittish and doesn't like men all too much. He has the tendency to try and assert his territorial right...
Angel
Angel is a rescue street dog from Eastern Europe, a Siberian husky cross. She has strikingly beautiful eyes, one brown and one blue!
When she came to us she was totally emaciated, literally just skin and bones, she had damaged organs resulting in a trypsin deficiency, and severe digestive issues as a result...
Sparky - The Little Mascot!
Sparky, "Boo Boo" came to us as a stray... he was a small, energetic little puppy, and we fell in love with him immediately. It was Sparky who started this charity off so to speak! He wanted a little dogie playmate... and the rest is history!
When we got him, we realized that he seemed to have been involved in some sort of car accident...
Zappy
Zappy is a rescue street dog from Eastern Europe. Heavens only knows what sort of 'breed'... possibly a Swedish Vallhund, beagle, corgi cross... and who knows what else! As far as I'm concerned - he's a cartoon dog!
He is the son of our late little Lady Mascot, Her Thoroughly Pampered, Most Regal Highness, Princess Synfie, Princess of the Universe...
Pixie
Pixie, is a very sweet, adorably naughty little dog who is for all intents and purposes totally hyper-active. She doesn't like to sit still for even an instant if she can help it! On top of that, she's also quite a noisy little madam, and woofs at everything and anything that moves! (She literally "Woofs!" for which reason, her Daddy says she speaks perfect English! Ha! Ha!) There's seldom a quiet moment with Pixie around!
(Please be patient with me – this page is still, as yet, unfinished. I will add pictures of the dogs who have come here since I created it, and more pictures of the HHH pack in general (hopefully an "Album" page for pictures and videos) as soon as I am able to.
Thank you. With much love and good wishes, Dana xxx ❤️🙏❤️)
